Refunds, Returns & Cancellation of Agreement

Consumer Protection Act (CPA): The rights afforded to customers under the CPA should not be limited by anything in this section.

  1. Cancellation and Returns
    You may cancel your purchase or return an item for a refund within seven business days of receiving the goods. This applies only to unused goods that remain unopened and in their original packaging. Damages caused by you to the product will void the possibility of returning the product or receiving a refund.
  2. Notification of Cancellation
    To cancel your purchase, send a written notice to [email protected] with details of the goods ordered, delivery particulars, and the order number. Phone notifications are not sufficient. Returns are accepted only for products identifiable as purchased from Valotronics, which includes providing the order number or other relevant information.
  3. Return Shipping Costs
    If you cancel your order after receiving the goods, you must return them at your own expense, including any additional fees necessary to ensure the package is returned in the same condition as received. Ensure proper packaging to avoid damage during transit, as Valotronics is not liable for damages incurred during return shipping.
  4. Risk and Insurance
    Risk remains with the customer until Valotronics accepts delivery. It is recommended to insure items being returned. Valotronics is not liable for additional costs incurred for timely and safe return.
  5. Refund Processing
    Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving the returned goods. Refunds will be issued in the same form of payment used for the original purchase unless otherwise agreed upon. Online store credit may be offered as an alternative.
  6. Refund Deductions
    If Valotronics incurs delivery or collection costs related to the return, these will be deducted from the refund. Bank or credit card charges incurred by Valotronics will also be deducted from the refund.
  7. Timely Returns
    Goods must be returned within 7 days of notifying Valotronics of your intention to cancel to ensure a refund.
  8. Restocking Fee
    If goods are not in their original packaging or the packaging has been opened, a restocking fee may be deducted from the refund. The fee amount will be communicated before processing the refund.
  9. Non-Refundable Items
    Opened computer software or consumer goods that cannot be returned, except where a fault is discovered that could not have been detected without breaking the seal, are not eligible for refunds.
  10. Custom-Built Computers
    A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for custom-built computers. Charges for assembly and components that cannot be returned will be deducted if the order is cancelled.
  11. Cancellation Fees
    Standard 5% cancellation fee applies to all orders cancelled after confirmation, except within 7 business days of receiving the goods. Additional transit costs and handling fees may apply for products not covered by the CPA.
  12. Handling Fee
    A 20% handling fee applies to all returns of products not covered by the CPA, deducted from the refund.
