Nationwide Shipping

We are pleased to offer free shipping for all orders of R2000 or more within South Africa. For orders below this amount, a flat shipping rate of R120 applies.

Returns & Refunds

Refunds, Returns & Cancellation of Agreement
The rights afforded to customers under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) should not be limited by anything in this section.

Cancellation and Returns
You may cancel your purchase or request a return for a refund within seven business days of receiving the goods. This applies only to unused goods that remain unopened and in their original packaging.
Damages caused by you to the product will void the possibility of returning the product or receiving a refund.

Notification of Cancellation
To cancel your purchase or initiate a return for refund or warranty claims, you must notify us within seven business days of receiving the goods or within the warranty period of one year for warranty claims.

Note: Phone notifications must be followed by written confirmation via email.

Return Shipping Costs
If you cancel your order after receiving the goods, you must return them at your own expense, including any additional fees necessary to ensure the package is returned in the same condition as received. Proper packaging must be ensured to avoid damage during transit, as Valotronics is not liable for damages incurred during return shipping.

Risk and Insurance
Risk remains with the customer until Valotronics accepts delivery. It is recommended to insure items being returned. Valotronics is not liable for additional costs incurred for timely and safe return.

Refund Processing
Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving the returned goods. Refunds will be issued in the same form of payment used for the original purchase unless otherwise agreed. Online store credit may be offered as an alternative to refunds.

Refund Deductions
If Valotronics incurs delivery or collection costs related to the return, these will be deducted from the refund. Bank or credit card charges incurred by Valotronics will also be deducted from the refund.

Timely Returns
Goods must be returned within 7 days of notifying Valotronics of your intention to cancel to ensure a refund.

Restocking Fee
If goods are not in their original packaging or the packaging has been opened, a restocking fee may be deducted from the refund. The fee amount will be communicated before processing the refund.

Non-Refundable Items
Opened computer software or consumer goods that cannot be returned, except where a fault is discovered that could not have been detected without breaking the seal, are not eligible for refunds.

Custom-Built Computers
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for custom-built computers. Charges for assembly and components that cannot be returned will be deducted if the order is cancelled.

Cancellation Fees
A standard 5% cancellation fee applies to all orders cancelled after confirmation, except within 7 business days of receiving the goods. Additional transit costs and handling fees may apply for products not covered by the CPA.

Handling Fee
A 20% handling fee applies to all returns of products not covered by the CPA, deducted from the refund.

Returns Policy

1. Unwanted Products/Exchanges

You can return or exchange unwanted products to us at no charge, provided:

  • The product is undamaged and unused, with original labels and stickers attached.
  • The product is in its original packaging, undamaged and in original condition with all seals intact (if applicable).

We happily accept returns if you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase. All returns must be received within 14 days of delivery. A 10% handling fee may apply for any damaged or opened packaging.

2. Defective Products

We ensure the quality of products delivered to you. However, if a product has a defect, please contact us as soon as possible.

What is a defect? A defect is any material imperfection in the manufacture or characteristics of a product that makes it less acceptable than reasonably expected.

Non-qualifying conditions:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage due to negligence, abuse, or improper use
  • Damage from lack of proper care
  • Unauthorized modifications

If you receive a defective product, email us at [email protected]. We will arrange a free return courier for the initial assessment. If deemed faulty, we will issue a replacement or refund. If no fault is found, you are responsible for collection or can request a courier at an additional cost. A 10% handling fee may apply on non-faulty returns.

3. Eligibility for Returns

Your item must be unused, in the same condition as received, and in original packaging.

  • Downloadable software
  • Some health and personal care items

To process a return, a receipt or proof of purchase is required. Please do not return items directly to the manufacturer.

4. Partial Refunds (if applicable)

Partial refunds may apply in certain cases, such as:

  • Books with signs of use
  • Opened CDs, DVDs, software, or similar media
  • Items not in original condition or missing parts not due to our error
  • Items returned more than 14 days after delivery

5. Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you by email. Approval or rejection of the refund will follow a technical assessment and report. Approved refunds will be processed within 7 working days to the original payment method.

We offer our unboxed range at discounted prices. These products are new, come with their original warranty, and are eligible for refunds if unsatisfactory. These products are in stock and ship on the same day if ordered before noon.

If you are dissatisfied with an unboxed product, we will arrange for collection and process a refund. We offer a 3-month warranty on all unboxed deals.
