Returns & Refunds
Refunds, Returns & Cancellation of Agreement
Clear, fair terms aligned with South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
Consumer Protection Act (CPA):The rights afforded to customers under the CPA are not limited by anything in this policy.
1) Cancellation & Returns
You may cancel your purchase or return an item for a refund within seven (7) business days of receiving the goods. Items must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging. Damage caused after delivery may void eligibility.
2) How to Notify Us
Submit written notice via email with your order number, delivery details, and item(s) to be returned. Phone notifications aren’t sufficient. Returns are accepted only for products identifiable as purchased from Valotronics.
3) Return Shipping Costs
If you cancel after receiving goods, you’re responsible for return shipping and any necessary packaging to ensure items arrive in the same condition. Use adequate protection to avoid transit damage.
4) Risk & Insurance
Risk remains with the customer until Valotronics signs for and accepts the return. We recommend insuring items in transit. Additional costs to ensure timely, safe return are for the customer’s account.
5) Refund Processing Time
Refunds are processed within thirty (30) days of receipt and inspection of the returned goods. Refunds are made via the original payment method unless otherwise agreed. Store credit may be offered where suitable.
6) Deductions & Charges
Where Valotronics incurred delivery/collection costs, these may be deducted from the refund. Bank or card processing fees charged to Valotronics may also be deducted where applicable.
7) Timing of Returns
Goods must be dispatched back to Valotronics within seven (7) days of your written cancellation to remain eligible for a refund.
8) Restocking Fee
If packaging is opened or not in original condition, a restocking fee may apply. The amount will be communicated prior to the refund being processed.
9) Non-Refundable Items
Opened software and certain consumables are not returnable unless a fault is discovered that could not reasonably be detected without opening the seal.
10) Custom-Built Computers
A 50% non-refundable deposit applies. If cancelled, assembly charges and any non-returnable components will be deducted from the refundable balance.
11) Cancellation Fees
A standard 5% cancellation fee applies to orders cancelled after confirmation (except where cancelled within seven business days of receipt under CPA cooling-off, where applicable). Transit and handling costs may apply.
12) Handling Fee (Non-CPA)
For returns not covered by the CPA, a handling fee of up to 20% may be deducted from the refund to cover inspection, repackaging, and administrative costs.
13) Quality Issues & DOA
If an item is defective on arrival or within the supplier’s DOA window, we will assist with assessment per manufacturer policy. Remedies may include repair, replacement, or refund as required by law.
14) Proof of Purchase
Please retain your order number and invoice. We may require reasonable proof of purchase to validate and process returns.

It’s great for keeping your devices charged during outdoor adventures and powering most household appliances during loadshedding. The elegant design is durable, robust, and can be taken with you on any adventure.
The Gizzu Hero Ultra Plus UPS Power Station features three 220V AC plugs, two USB ports, four Type-C ports, two DC ports, a car socket port, and an XT60 port. These ensure that you can charge or power multiple devices simultaneously. Pure Sine Wave technology and the ability to function like a UPS ensures that the Gizzu Hero Ultra Plus seamlessly switches over to battery power during loadshedding or a power outage, resulting in zero downtime for your connected essential devices.
The Hero Ultra Plus UPS Power Station is compatible with most large household appliances and power tools during loadshedding. Electric chainsaws, electric irons, air conditioners, hairdryers, and air fryers are just some of the products that you can still enjoy during a blackout.
The Gizzu Hero Ultra Plus UPS Power Station features Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries that recharge from 0% to 100% within 2.2 hours and has a rated lifespan of 3500 cycles. You can recharge the Hero Ultra Plus in multiple ways – Recharge from your car, solar panel, or from traditional wall sockets at the home or office.
A battery management system helps to proactively monitor and manage the rechargeable battery. In addition, the Hero Ultra Plus also features safety features like short-circuit, over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage, over-load, and temperature protection.
Please Note:
The total power consumption for all connected appliances must be less than 3600W. If the power requirement draw exceeds 3600W, the wattage overdraw protection will provide up to 10 seconds of runtime before the unit shuts itself down. Wattage draw exceeding 7200W peak will cause the device to immediately shut down and this may cause damage.
The Hero Series Power Stations use Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFeP04) batteries. After 2 days in UPS mode, the battery capacity will throttle between 90-100%. The Battery Management System will drop the capacity after a full charge to around 90% to prevent overcharging. (This will not affect life cycles)
