Returns & Refunds
Refunds, Returns & Cancellation of Agreement
Clear, fair terms aligned with South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
Consumer Protection Act (CPA):The rights afforded to customers under the CPA are not limited by anything in this policy.
1) Cancellation & Returns
You may cancel your purchase or return an item for a refund within seven (7) business days of receiving the goods. Items must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging. Damage caused after delivery may void eligibility.
2) How to Notify Us
Submit written notice via email with your order number, delivery details, and item(s) to be returned. Phone notifications aren’t sufficient. Returns are accepted only for products identifiable as purchased from Valotronics.
3) Return Shipping Costs
If you cancel after receiving goods, you’re responsible for return shipping and any necessary packaging to ensure items arrive in the same condition. Use adequate protection to avoid transit damage.
4) Risk & Insurance
Risk remains with the customer until Valotronics signs for and accepts the return. We recommend insuring items in transit. Additional costs to ensure timely, safe return are for the customer’s account.
5) Refund Processing Time
Refunds are processed within thirty (30) days of receipt and inspection of the returned goods. Refunds are made via the original payment method unless otherwise agreed. Store credit may be offered where suitable.
6) Deductions & Charges
Where Valotronics incurred delivery/collection costs, these may be deducted from the refund. Bank or card processing fees charged to Valotronics may also be deducted where applicable.
7) Timing of Returns
Goods must be dispatched back to Valotronics within seven (7) days of your written cancellation to remain eligible for a refund.
8) Restocking Fee
If packaging is opened or not in original condition, a restocking fee may apply. The amount will be communicated prior to the refund being processed.
9) Non-Refundable Items
Opened software and certain consumables are not returnable unless a fault is discovered that could not reasonably be detected without opening the seal.
10) Custom-Built Computers
A 50% non-refundable deposit applies. If cancelled, assembly charges and any non-returnable components will be deducted from the refundable balance.
11) Cancellation Fees
A standard 5% cancellation fee applies to orders cancelled after confirmation (except where cancelled within seven business days of receipt under CPA cooling-off, where applicable). Transit and handling costs may apply.
12) Handling Fee (Non-CPA)
For returns not covered by the CPA, a handling fee of up to 20% may be deducted from the refund to cover inspection, repackaging, and administrative costs.
13) Quality Issues & DOA
If an item is defective on arrival or within the supplier’s DOA window, we will assist with assessment per manufacturer policy. Remedies may include repair, replacement, or refund as required by law.
14) Proof of Purchase
Please retain your order number and invoice. We may require reasonable proof of purchase to validate and process returns.

It does this thanks to a three-in-one filtration system that can remove up to 99.97% of 0.3μm particles. Xiaomi combines two filter technologies to give you the best protection. Xiaomi’s high-efficiency filter media can remove 99.97% of airborne particles of 0.3 micrometres in size and traps dust, PM 2.5, pollen, pet dander, smoke and tiny particles. The activated carbon filter has a high absorption rate and effectively removes common harmful gases such as VOC from your home, as well as eliminating odours to keep your air fresh.
Compared to a conventional HEPA filter, Xiaomi’s high-efficiency filter allows the air purifier to generate less noise and consume less energy by allowing more airflow to pass through the filter all the while keeping the same cleaning efficiency.
